Ann Bumby

Ann Bumby is a continuing lecturer and supervisor within the multiple-subject cohort of the teacher education program at UC Santa Barbara. Bumby also serves as the program's associate director. 

Bumby is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara’s teacher education program (’10) and holds a multiple-subject teaching credential and a master of education degree. She taught fifth- and sixth-grade students locally for eight years before transitioning to her current roles within the program. Her professional passions include nature-based and outdoor learning, supporting all students through individualized curriculum design, and fostering classroom communities grounded in joy, play, and literature.
